Apple original external PlainTalk microphone to proprietary 3.5mm jack. This is the clear plastic variant. The PlainTalk mic is an amplified microphone with an extended tip to pick up Voltage at the bottom of the socket. When powered in this fashion, the plaintalk mike produces a line-level output.
