Complete 1.67GHz logic board for the single layer superdrive 1.67GHz version of the 15" Aluminium PowerBook G4 (A1106). This board will not fit the dual layer version (A1138) of the 1.67GHz 15" PowerBook G4 but is interchangeable with the 1.5GHz bluetooth 2 model providing an upgrade option. This is a highly static-sensitive device and replacement should not be attempted without suitable experience and anti-static precautions. Removing the logic board means breaking the thermal seal between the processor chip and the heat sink. This seal must be re-made adequately when the new board is fitted to ensure the PowerBook does not overheat. Thermal paste is available from the Tools section.
